Anti-Bullying Summit II—March 13, 2011

Imagine one day waking up and discovering that bullying, harassing, and saying rude mean comments were no longer the norm. How would your day change? The Jim Toy Community Center is committed to making this change in our community.

March 13, 2011 is the Anti-Bullying Summit II. We are meeting at the First Presbyterian Church 1432 Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Did you know that Michigan remains one of five states with no anti-bullying law to help usher in progress in dealing with the most common form of violence in our schools? Create a change by joining the Resources/Statewide Initiatives and policy.

Do you know how to interrupt these comments?
“That’s so gay.”
“That’s ghetto.”
“That’s retarded.”

Create a change by joining the Local Initiatives, Cyberbullying/ Teacher & Staff Training.

Can you think of three examples to support the statement, “being different can be dangerous”?

Create a change by joining the Help for Bullies & Targets/Youth Education.

We look forward to working with you to create a Bully Free Community. RSVP on Facebook!
